📢 LHUSD’s 1st Annual Math Challenge! ➗✖️➕
On Thursday, fourth, fifth and sixth grade students from all six LHUSD elementary schools came together at Lake Havasu High School to compete in the district’s first-ever Math Challenge—hosted by the LHHS Math Club!🏆📚
With the support of Concord Construction and the K-12 Foundation, students put their math skills to the test in a fun and challenging competition. A huge thank you to Jason Beaver from Concord Construction and even our very own mascot for helping score the tests! Thank you to LHUSD staff who worked to make this happen. 👏🎉
Jamaica Crocs had two teams of three from each grade level (4th, 5th, and 6th). Students were selected by their teachers for being exceptional math students and practiced for two months to prepare for the three timed math tests. They took two individual tests and one team test. Lyndon Aune won 5th place for fourth grade!
This year our teams were coached by both Mrs. Kendrick and Mrs. Montes.

We are very excited to announce our 2025 Teacher of the Year, Mr. White!
Mr. White is the epitome of honesty and integrity, always leading by example in both the classroom and beyond. His unwavering commitment to doing what’s right is reflected in his interactions with students, colleagues, and the wider school community. Beyond his role as a teacher, he is a caring and compassionate individual who truly invests in the well-being of his students. Whether he’s guiding them through a lesson, offering encouragement after school, coaching or cheering them on at their sports games or any extracurriculars, you can always count on Mr. White to be there. He is very active with Grace Arts and if he isn't on stage himself, you can find him running the lights or in the audience. His presence on campus is immeasurable—every student in every grade level knows Mr. White. He gets Senior Graduation Announcements from past students and is often referred to as an influential person in Senior's school careers. His kindness and dedication create an environment where students feel valued and supported.
Mr. White, we truly appreciate you and congratulate you on this long overdue achievement!

Attention 6th Grade Parents!

Please send pictures of your student preferably at school or school events (Kinder thru 6th ages) to jamaica6thgrade@gmail.com by May 1st.
