WHY LEADER IN ME?

The middle school years are the perfect time to focus on citizenship and leadership skills to benefit students throughout their lives. That’s why Thunderbolt Middle School is using Leader In Me as an enriching resource in our new homeroom periods.

HOW WE DO IT

Small  homeroom groups meet where staff and students can get to know each other, discuss and learn about topics related to leadership and citizenship.

The program uses 7 Habits of Successful Students concepts.

So far this year, lessons have included important topics of successful students such as:

  • Setting goals for the year and thinking about the steps needed to achieve them.
  • Growth mindset vs. fixed mindset for learners.
